We help clients with the negotiation and drafting of construction contracts for diverse projects ranging from commercial and retail developments to hotels and sports stadiums. Our team has extensive experience of drafting construction documentation under a variety of construction forms ranging from FIDIC to JCT Construction Contracts.

We have worked on some of the biggest protects in the region, including:

Advising on and negotiating a 50 hectare mixed use development in excess of USD $550,000,000 consisting of a football stadium, a hotel, offices, commercial, retail and residential plots in Al Ain, UAE.
Representing a major oil company in relation to the construction of a new tanker berth worth in excess of USD $20,000,000 at the Jebel Ali Free Zone. UAE.
Negotiated and drafted the construction contracts for the Opus by Zaha Hadid and One Palm in Dubai, UAE.
Advised on the Marasi Business Bay project in Dubai and drafted the bespoke construction contract terms and subsequent sale and purchase documents for the development.
Drafted a bespoke construction contract for an oil refinery in South Sudan which incorporated the FIDIC EPC/Turnkey Projects Conditions of Contract 1999 Edition.
Drafted a complex set of Particular Conditions to the FIDIC Plant and Design Build Conditions of Contract for a hotel development in St. Kitts & Nevis.

We specialize in both commercial and construction arbitration for all size of disputes. We have represented clients in a number of successful arbitrations both as claimants and respondents under ICC, DIAC, DIFC-LCIA and ADCCAC arbitration rules. We devise a strategy at the outset to ensure our clients have the best chance of success in any arbitration.

We have successfully brought and defended a number of arbitrations including:

Representing a high profile real estate developer and winning a major Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre (ADCCAC) arbitration concerning the termination of a contract worth in excess of USD $440,000,000.
Drafted key documents including the Statement of Claim, Witness Statements, Disclosure Request and the Response as well as the Pre-hearing and Post-hearing Submissions.
Successfully defending proceedings brought under an International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitration against a Dubai based developer and successfully bringing a counterclaim.
Defending a Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) arbitration brought against a Dubai based contractor and issuing a counterclaim in excess of USD $30,000,000
Acted for a major developer in two major DIFC-LCIA arbitrations both as claimant and respondent.

We advise on all employment related queries and draft employment contracts in compliance with UAE labour law. We also assist with cases in the labour courts. We provide strategic as well as legal advice to help you get the results you want.

Examples of the types of cases with which we have assisted include:

Successfully representing an employee of a international company in settling a case of arbitrary termination. The employee was given one years salary and gratuity under UAE law.
Successfully bringing a case against a UAE employer for terminating an employee without any grounds. The employee was given a months salary for arbitrary dismissal and all outstanding dues including non payment of salary.
Successfully brought a claim for non payment of salary against an employer and defended a counterclaim for loss of profits from the employer claiming the employee had started a business while still in employment.
